Partnerships and Sponsorships

We believe in making more possible, and to do just that, we’ve joined together with like-minded organisations to make more progress in changing the world around us. There’s strength in numbers, so by collaborating closely with partners that align with our purpose, we can generate more meaningful impact on the areas of society that matter to us most.

Women of the Year

We are proud to have been headline sponsors of the Women of the Year Awards for the last three years.

The Women of the Year Luncheon & Awards was first established in 1982 as a ladies’ luncheon to raise money for a charity called The Winged Fellowship Trust. Over the years, the event has grown from being a regional ladies’ luncheon to a national awards ceremony with a key focus on business. The annual event now plays host to around 600 guests and recognises the achievements of women in business plus highlights the extraordinary work that women have strived to achieve in some of the most challenging of circumstances imaginable.

Now in its 43rd year, the organisation continues to promote positive female role models who provide inspiration across all areas of society and the business community.

Why we’re making more possible together

Aldermore is committed to creating real, positive change in society; from championing diversity and inclusion, to breaking down barriers, we’re here to make a difference. Sponsoring the Women of the Year awards allows us to support the women who are putting this into practice – shattering glass ceilings and forging the path ahead for others looking to do the same.

Reading Rockets Basketball Club

Reading Rockets Basketball club was launched in September 1997 with two main goals: to give young children the opportunity to play sport to very best of their ability, and to have a positive impact on Reading and the surrounding county, unifying family values and high standards through sports.

The Club continues to engage youngsters through its community and healthy lifestyle development programmes in schools, leisure centres, colleges and universities and with programmes to bring adults back to the sport.

Why we’re making more possible together

Aldermore’s partnership with the Club will promote inclusivity and social mobility for young people from all backgrounds. By focusing on accessibility for all and increasing female representation, we’re committed to helping the club make basketball a sport for everyone.

Norwich City Football Club

Norwich City has always been a club at the heart of its community, and they understand the importance and impact the Club can have on all those connected to it. Whilst in recent years they’ve made significant and successful moves into international regions across both sporting and commercial strategies, the importance of the local community is always at the heart of what they do.

The social value of football is obvious; the feeling of belonging and togetherness it brings, as experienced by the many Norwich City fans, cannot be underestimated. Football clubs have the potential to drive significant socio-economic activity through fan spend and behaviour, tourism, commercial relationships, supply chains, employment opportunities as well as tax contributions.

In the 2022/23 season, the Club:

  • Generated £11.4m in revenue for local businesses in Norwich and wider Norfolk area.
  • Created 886 casual jobs for local people at non-football related events.
  • Supported 265 local suppliers.

Why we're making more possible together

Our purpose is to make more possible, and so the opportunity to provide finance to the club, helping them to continue making such positive socio-economic impact allows us the perfect chance to put our purpose into practice.

Seeing how the initial investment in the club graduates out and impacts the surrounding areas, bringing work for local people and driving revenue for local businesses is powerful to witness, and we are proud to partner with the Club to achieve more.
